Continental is focused on advancing the Xietongmen Copper-Gold Project in the Tibet Autonomous Region. Xietongmen is in the permitting and detailed engineering stage.
Xietongmen is located 240 kilometers from the capital city of Lhasa, a city of 500,000 that is serviced by rail and air from major points throughout China. Completion of a rail link to the regional centre of Rikaze, some 50 kilometers from the Xietongmen site, is planned in the near future.
The 122 square kilometer property hosts two large copper-gold deposits - Xietongmen and Newtongmen - and also has excellent additional exploration potential. It is well located in terms of infrastructure, including close proximity to a paved road, ample water supply and a power line.
